I just realized that I blogged yesterday! Maybe this is the start of a great blogging habit! One can hope...
Yes, I've got a strange title, but you'll understand on a few words.
I've already thought out My dolls' Halloween Costumes.
Last year, I only had 2 dolls. Only one of them dressed up. And that, was Little Miss Lanie Holland.
I came up with this really cool costume: Hummingbird.
I made her a mask out of a paper plate with eyeholes and yarn in the back, and I even added a paper beak. She had a bracelet-sort-of-type-thingy that was a drawing of a flower with a green backdrop, and she also had a Halloween bag. I found a video on YouTube on how to make them, but it's really pretty simple. www.printmini.com She wore her meet outfit and shoes with it all.
This year, Lanie will be a butterfly. I had this old Barbie Fairytopia Elina styling head, and she had wings that attached to her back. Lanie will wear those, connected the the cardigan and dress of her butterfly outfit. She'll wear her butterfly clip and shoes to match.
Since I have a new doll, I have to have her dress up, too. This year, it's as simple as 2 words: Pippi Longstocking.
Pippi is a fictional character in a book that i read in 3rd grade, i love her, and i saw a 3 or 4 yr old dress up as her on toddlers & tiaras. My mom will crochet some long socks for her (I'm not doing it because i'm no good at it! :) , and i tested her braids today.
Yes folks, the only way to get perfect Pippi braids for your doll (since you can't use a curling iron) is wire.
Yes. I said it.
Wire.
I french braided her hair into 2 separate braids, then undid a paper clip. Then I slipped it in. Fold your braids to your liking, and voila.
Josefina will either go as a witch, if i can figure out how to do that, or nothing at all. She'll be like my dad on Halloween. Roll: The Candy Passer.
Today, with the help of that Candy Passer,who is going to grill for us tonight (ribs-YUM!!!), I posted a comment on girloftheyearstudios blog.

I told her to get Kanani. She asked for help, so I answered. I hope she reads it.
