I'm flying to Nebraska to visit my friend Sidney!
We've been talking lately over video chat, and she's from the same orphanage that me and Cammy were in. She found a loving family a year after we escaped, and she moved to happy Nebraska!

I'm flying out there on Friday, so we can have a few days together, and I'll be home before night on Monday, so I can go Trick-or-Treating!!

right now, i'm working on a watermelon pie.
here's what i'm thinking (as a rough sketch)
take watermelon cubes and glaze with <syrup or honey>. freeze for a few hours, then let thaw  for just a few minutes.
make pie crust, and place watermelon inside. make lattice crust and bake like normal.
sound good?  :)

and i've heard talk of someone else coming to Red Star neighborhood.
We don't know anything about her, but rumor has it she's a dirty blonde, red eyes, and loves lime green.
BUT....
i did a little research (more like looking at who's got a plane ticket to here), and i still can't find the name, but she came from out of this state, and i found a picture.
curse those rumors.
and curse me for listening to them.
She has hazel eyes, brown curly hair, and her favorite color is red.
Who started that rumor anyway?

I just got a letter.

FROM CAMMY!!!!
It says that she could only send it to let me know she was still alive.  She's been working for 3 years on a farm, and still doesn't have enough money for a one-way ticket home for her, a tote bag filled with precious memories, and enough for food.
I wish I could send her a letter back, but the adress is "country".  No idea where, but just "country".
